Amazon’s Release-Date Delivery
If you’re the type that absolutely must have new games on the release date but don’t want to venture to your local game store or mega-retailer to wait in line with the kids, you’re in luck.
Amazon.com now offers Release-Date Delivery for selected pre-order items they know they can deliver on the date the item releases for ZIP codes within the continental United States.
Shipping is free for Amazon Prime members. For the rest of us, charges vary by item and will be displayed on Amazon’s order confirmation page. Expect to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $6.00 though.
Because of restrictions with publishers, Amazon may not be able to provide you with their normal package tracking options either.
