Microsoft announced a number of family-friendly updates to the Xbox 360 at this year’s E3 Media and Business Summit.

Beautiful Katamari

Posted on August 20th, 2007 by Tripp Fenderson

Long popular on the PS2 and other consoles, Beautiful Katamari is set for release on the Xbox 360 later this year. We downloaded the demo recently and although we initially didn’t “get it”, the simplicity and fun of this game is brilliant.

Our family had fun playing the demo that’s available on Xbox Live, leaving us all scrambling to get the controller back for another turn.

I was surprised to see this coming to the Xbox but for our family of gamers (me, my wife and my 6-year old daughter), games like this are a welcomed addition to the console. We’ll definitely pick up Katamari when it releases. Good fun for the entire family.

The pre-release ships on 10/15/07 with a retail price of $39.99.

Sounds like a great game for a 5 year old, right?

Actually, it is.
